The Los Angeles Unified School District has made more gains on California鈥檚 accountability system than the state鈥檚 schools as a whole, but a wide gap remains. Each year鈥檚 rating, on a scale from 200 to 1,000, is a composite result based on student test scores in multiple subjects.
